Arrival
A train pulls in after dark
In Lee Child's Make Me, Reacher rides a train to a tiny place called Mother's Rest and gets off just because he's curious about the name. On the night of Oct 2, a train pulled up beside the lit station set, and up on the porch a man in a long coat waited. Could this be that moment? ๐
Seen8:28 PM: the train beside the porch. It stops right next to the lit station while the crew gathers by the door. Markings on the locomotive are blurred.

Deck
One man on the deck, right on his mark
A man in a white T-shirt holds his mark beside a camera rig. Twenty minutes on, he's still out there when a headlight comes up the track. Was he waiting for that train?

The set
Big lights, haze and a crane
As the night went on, the set grew: a lighting crane over the station, haze drifting across the porch and a boom-lift light beaming over the roof. After 1:30 AM the train was still parked, with gear up on the deck.
General technique Haze plus a high, soft light source is how night exteriors get that moonlit glow.
Seen1:35 AM: still parked. The train car at the platform, with a camera and lighting rig up on the deck.
Bridge
The railway bridge, lit up at night
Down the tracks from the station, the railway bridge glowed red and orange all night. From under its steel you could see the lit station and the train waiting there.

Props
Then the OSBI props rolled in
Next came a fleet of prop vehicles marked Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation: a mobile command van, "SIU 003", black OSBI SUVs and an unmarked sedan with a light bar. In Make Me, the trail runs through Oklahoma. Coincidence? ๐
